Lavrov: US Dollar Will Collapse, Trust Diminishes due to Washington Policy

Russia’s Foreign Minister (FM), Sergei Lavrov said today, Wednesday, that US currency (the dollar) will collapse as trust in it diminishes due to Washington’s policy.

The Russian minister was interviewed by “RPCA”, a German satellite channel that press inquires whether it is better to trade in dollar on a large scale.

He pointed out that some countries think it is better to trade in Yuan (the national currency of China) instead of the dollar.

Lavrov stressed that the dollar’s role will retreat as the confidence in it shrinks significantly.

It is worth noting that Western countries have adopted a package of harsh sanctions against Russia to put more pressure on Moscow to stop the military operations in Ukraine that started on February 24.
