It is worth noting that the exhibition included 45 artworks produced in 2020 and 2021 in an abstract style, which is characterized by the artist Farouk Hosny, in addition to 7 sculpture works inspired by Hosny’s abstract works dedicated and executed by the Bahraini sculptor  Khaled Farhan.

The artworks of Hosny show various techniques within the framework of the abstract style that characterized most of Hosny's works, but they ranged between free abstraction and geometric abstraction, which is a relatively different stage for the artist's works.

The works were characterized by two main features, which are the proportionality between colors and their ability to express different emotional states in almost all of the works.

The attendees expressed their admiration for the exhibition and the displayed works, and the paintings that carried sentimental touches gained the interest and comments of some of the attendees as a relatively different stage in the great artist Farouk Hosny's artistic experience.

Sheikha Mai bent Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the Culture and Antiquities Authority, said, “In the Kingdom of Bahrain, we are proud to host an exhibition by the artist Farouk Hosni.

She added that  Egypt is always present in Bahrain’s cultural movement through its artists, its literature, its poets, musicians, and ancient cultural institutions.

On his part, Ambassador Yasser Shaaban, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressed his happiness at the inauguration of an exhibition by the adroit artist Farouk Hosny, former Egyptian Minister of Culture, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Shaaban explained that the exhibition represents the permanent and distinct added value of the Egyptian cultural balance in one of the capitals of Arab and Islamic culture - namely, Manama - in addition to the exhibition and the   presence of the great artist Farouk Hosny in person which  represented  the expected momentum as Hosny is beloved to the Arab and foreign cultural audience in Bahrain

“ The presence of many ambassadors of brotherly and friendly countries in the exhibition stems from the keenness of all of them to participate in this unique event”, Shaaban said.

The artist Farouk Hosni expressed his happiness with this exhibition that is being held in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in which he felt the love, warmth, and appreciation of all the sheikhs, ministers, artists, and intellectuals of the Kingdom of Bahrain for him and his art.

It has a cultural and civic peculiarity among its neighbors, and it is a country that has always been known for making and celebrating culture and arts, and its people are always loving and interested in culture and arts.

Hosny concluded by thanking the Culture and Arts Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Bahrain Gallery and the artist Khaled Farhan for directing the exhibition in such a wonderful way, which was praised by all the attendees.
