Lady Gaga will perform at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on Friday.
This comes after fans speculated the "A Star Is Born" actress was set to take the stage on the River Seine in Paris, along with other rumored artists, including Celine Dion, Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, and French singer Aya Nakamura.
However, the ceremony’s lineup of performers has mostly been kept under wraps.
Rumours increased earlier this week after Gaga and Dion were spotted arriving in Paris ahead of the Olympics, a global multisport competition.
The Grammy and Oscar winning performer was seen in videos posted on social media waving to fans outside her car in France’s capital on Monday.
Gaga has been busy the past few years filming " Joker: Folie à Deux", where she plays Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck/Joker, and headlining her Las Vegas residency show, called "Enigma + Jazz & Piano".
In 2022, she was also traveling the globe for her seventh concert tour, "The Chromatica Ball", in support of her sixth studio album "Chromatica".
The “Bad Romance” singer's Olympic opening ceremony performance marks her first time on a televised stage since her stripped-down performance of “Hold My Hand” at the 95th Academy Awards last year. The song from "Top Gun: Maverick" was nominated for best original song.
The opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics will air on NBC beginning at 1:30 p.m. ET Friday and stream on Peacock and NBC Olympics platforms.
