World's youngest self-made billionaire Kylie Jenner's skincare company is also contributing to the fight against coronavirus by producing and donating hand sanitizer to hospitals in southern California facing a shortage amid the global pandemic.

Jenner and her mom-manager Kris Jenner partnered on Tuesday with beauty company Coty Inc. for the production of hand sanitizer.

According to a news release issued Tuesday, the hand sanitizer will include a special message to its recipients, which reads: "Dedicated to first responders working to support our communities".

The 22-year-old billionaire had silently donated $1 million last week to help supply protective gear to healthcare workers who are combating Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) on the front lines.

Many high-end clothing brands are contributing to the fight against the disease by supplying personal protective items for medical workers.

American designer Christian Siriano and European labels Saint Laurent, Balenciaga, Gucci, LVMH, Kering, and Prada, among others, are producing face masks and other personal protective equipments that are in short supply.

It is worth mentioning that the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic on March 11 as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 121,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.

More cases of the virus, which causes respiratory disease Covid-19, continue to emerge, with outbreaks in South Korea, Italy, and Iran.

The data collected so far showed that at least 876,884 people are infected and about 43,535 people have died.

Transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.

They can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose or eyes.

It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus.
