The Kuwaiti Embassy in Beirut, in line with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has issued an update for Kuwaiti citizens in Lebanon, calling for their voluntary return to Kuwait.

The update refers to the statement released on October 17, 2023, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which urges all Kuwaiti citizens who intend to visit the Lebanese Republic to postpone their travel during this period.

It also appeals to Kuwaiti citizens currently present in Lebanon to return voluntarily if there is no urgent need for them to stay, given the current regional situation.

The embassy of the State of Kuwait in the Lebanese Republic invites all citizens currently in Lebanon to get in touch with them and register their information through the embassy's phone.

In recent days, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Saudi Arabia have all urged their citizens not to travel to Lebanon and to leave if they are already there.

For the past three weeks, the border between Lebanon and Israel has witnessed mutual shelling between the Israeli army on one side and Hezbollah and armed factions on the other, resulting in casualties on both sides.

These tensions occur amidst an ongoing confrontation since October 7th between the Israeli army and Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip.
