Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced on Sunday the initiation of Kuwaiti relief operations via airlift to assist Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
According to the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA), these relief efforts have been ordered by the country's Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and are being directly supervised by his Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, under the guidance of Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Kuwait's Foreign Minister emphasized that "this initiative stems from Kuwait's initial and steadfast stance regarding the Palestinian issue, demonstrating support for the Palestinian people and alleviating the consequences of the brutal Israeli occupation aggression."
The airlift is scheduled to begin on Monday, with planes carrying urgently needed humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and medication to El-Arish, located in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt.
The aid will then be transported to the Gaza Strip. These relief operations will continue continuously throughout the current week.
On Saturday, the first batch of aid entered Gaza through the Rafah Crossing, marking the first assistance shipment to the territory since the onset of Israeli escalations.
The shipment included 20 trucks carrying food and medicines, with a new batch expected to enter on Sunday.
