Hollywood actor Kevin Costner is set to star and direct the western movie "Horizon".
He is also set to produce and finance the movie his Territory Pictures production company.
The movie is set to begin production on August 29 in Utah.
"Horizon" depicts an honest approach to a multi-faceted, 15-year span of pre-and post-Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West. It also highlights the consequences of the characters' life and death decisions.
It marks Costner's first time to direct a movie in 19 years since 2003's critically acclaimed "Open Range".
The "Bodyguard" actor has been busy starring for the past few years in the hit series "Yellowstone".
