Wednesday marked the iconic American Monroe’s 96th birth anniversary.
Celebrating the life and art of the gorgeous star on her special day, several auctions of Monroe’s artworks took place in different territories.
To celebrate her talent and legacy, Julien’s and TCM (Turner Classic Movies) announces to TMZ a Marilyn collection as part of their Hollywood Legends auction.
Monroe, who was cited as one of the most influential actresses of the 21st century, is well-known for playing comedic “blonde bombshell” characters on screen and became one of the huge icons of pop culture.
Throughout her successful career, she featured in Bus Stop (1956) and her first independent production in The Prince and the Showgirl (1957). She also received many awards including la Golden Globe for Best Actress for her role in Some Like It Hot (1959), a critical and commercial success. Her last completed film was the drama The Misfits (1961).
