JPMorgan plans to include India in the emerging market bond index from tomorrow, giving it ways to take in billions of dollars in cash flows.
The bank noted that the weight of India in the index after the inclusion of 28 government bonds worth more than $400 billion is 10%.
Foreign inflows of Indian bonds are expected to hit a 10-year high of around $2 billion tomorrow when they are included in the JPMorgan Emerging Markets Index.
