In an unexpected incident, a zebra microphone struck U.S. President Donald Trump in the face on Friday while he was answering questions from reporters at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland.
The fur-covered end of the microphone touched the president's mouth, then part of his face, as Trump closed his eyes and quickly leaned back to avoid further contact.
The 78-year-old president looked at the reporter behind the incident and stared at her, then raised his eyebrows in amusement as the microphone was quickly removed.
"Now that's a big story tonight," Trump joked.
Although the reporter was the focus of the incident, it was not identified which media outlet she worked for.
After the incident, Trump continued to answer numerous questions from reporters before boarding Air Force One.
