Jlo, Ben Affleck Engaged Again after 18 Years Split

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are engaged for the second time after nearly two decades of parting ways.

Lopez teased the “exciting and special” announcement on Facebook earlier Friday evening. The 'Marry Me' actress was seen staring adoringly at a green-hued diamond ring.

Lopez, 52, and Affleck, 49, sparked engagement rumors earlier this week when she was photographed wearing a ring on her wedding finger while shopping in LA with 14-year-old daughter Emme.

“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” the couple said in a joint statement. “When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.”

The statement continued, “We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families, and our friends.”

In 2004, the couple officially called off their engagement for good. Jlo was married to singer Marc Anthony by June of the same year, while Affleck moved on with Jennifer Garner.
