Oscar-winning American actress Jennifer Lawrence will star in "Bad Blood", a feature film about the rise and fall of disgraced Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes.
Apple Studios will produce in association with Legendary Pictures, which first picked up the project in 2016.
Lawrence will also serve as a producer on the movie, which will also see Adam McKay starring, writing, directing, and producing the project.
"Bad Blood" is based on the book "Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley" by Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist John Carreyrou.
Holmes, the Silicon Valley entrepreneur, is currently on trial for alleged fraud.
Lawrence is currently seen in Netflix’s star-studded dark comedy movie "Don’t Look Up".
“Don’t Look Up” also features Cate Blanchett, Matthew Perry, Chris Evans, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Tyler Perry, Jonah Hill, Rob Morgan, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Scott Mescudi, Meryl Street, Himesh Patel, Tomer Sisley, Melanie Lynskey, Gina Gershon, Michael Chiklis, and Paul Guilfoyle.
The movie hit the theaters on Dec. 10, two weeks ahead of its Dec. 23 debut on the streaming giant.
