Jamie Foxx Released from Hospital and Recuperating

Hollywood star Jamie Foxx has been discharged from the hospital and recuperating for weeks.

The Oscar-winning actor's daughter Corinne Foxx shared Friday an update on Instagram after unsubstantiated reports claimed the 55-year-old’s condition was taking a turn for the worse.

“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” Corrine wrote on her Instagram story. 

“In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support. We have an exciting work announcement coming next week too!”

On April 12, Corinne Foxx revealed he experienced a medical complication and is recovering.

“We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery", she said.

"We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

The cause of Foxx’s medical emergency has still not been revealed.

At the time of his hospitalization, Foxx was in Atlanta, Georgia, filming an upcoming Netflix comedy movie“Back in Action” alongside Cameron Diaz, who came “out of retirement” for the project, her first in almost a decade.

The project is being directed by “Horrible Bosses” helmer Seth Gordon. Production on “Back in Action” continued with stand-ins and body doubles for Foxx, and has reportedly wrapped.
