Big Hit Music announced Saturday on Weverse the first solo project from a BTS member, an album from J-Hope titled "Jack in the Box".

The album is slated to arrive on July 15, with the first single to be released two weeks earlier on July 1.

The agency stated that the album represents J-Hope’s aspirations to break the mold and grow further.

Big Hit also noted the untitled single features perse content that shows J-Hope’s creative identity as an artist.

J-Hope also announced the news on Instagram alongside sharing a video that begins with a white J in the center of the screen, with a colorful checkered background. “‘J'ack in the box,” he simply captioned the clip.

On the other hand, the musician is slated to be a headliner on the main stage at Lollapalooza on July 31.

He is replacing Doja Cat who is recovering from tonsil surgery.

BTS' J-Hope to Drop Solo Album, 'Jack in the Box,' Next Month - Variety

The details come after Hybe announced in mid-June that J-Hope would be the first of the group to release his solo project.

BTS shocked fans back on June 14 with an announcement that they were going on a hiatus to work on solo projects.

The band— which also includes RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook, and V—announced the break during their FESTA dinner, which is part of an annual celebration of their founding.
