Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid arrived in Germany on Monday for a short political visit, according to the Israeli newspaper Maariv.
According to the newspaper, the visit is part of Lapid's efforts to release Israeli prisoners and create an international track to put economic pressure on Hamas and its sources of funding.
It is worth mentioning that, German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) is participating in negotiations on a new prisoner deal between Israel and Hamas, according to Hebrew Channel 12.
