The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned the kidnapping carried out by an Israeli soldier of a baby girl from Gaza, calling for the speedy return of this child to the Palestinian Authority. This comes as the Israeli army continues the military operation in Gaza for the 88th day , which has led to the killing of more than 21 thousand people.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: “The occupation army radio reported the news that an Israeli soldier had kidnapped a baby girl from Gaza and sent her to his home, according to the testimony of a friend of his who revealed this secret
The kidnapping of the infant girl from the Gaza Strip is evidence that the (Israeli) occupation army is committing the most heinous crimes against civilians without oversight or accountability,” the Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry asked: “It raises a number of questions related to this painful crime and others, especially the lack of confirmation that it is not the first and may not be the last to occur in Gaza. Questions also regarding the manner in which the infant was transferred from the Gaza Strip to inside Israel and how was smuggled or transported.” Publicly, with the knowledge of many of the soldiers, officers, and commanders responsible for this soldier? What is the child’s health status, was she injured or not, and what was the fate of her family? Did she receive the necessary health care or not? And why was this crime not announced by the official Israeli institutions? And where? It exists now and what is its fate?
The Ministry called on the Israeli side to quickly answer these and other questions and officially hand over the child to the Palestinian National Authority immediately.
