Israeli military forces carried out a ground incursion on Wednesday into two towns in southern Syria’s Quneitra province, according to Syrian state media reports.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) said that a unit of Israeli forces, consisting of eight military vehicles, a heavy machine, and two tanks, advanced from the vicinity of Tel Krum Jaba toward the town of Eastern Samdaniyah before withdrawing several hours later toward the destroyed city of Quneitra.
Another Israeli unit reportedly entered the nearby village of Ofania, where it conducted house raids and searches in two homes before pulling back. Syrian state television confirmed that no arrests were reported during the operation.
The incursion marks the latest in a series of Israeli military actions on Syrian territory, which Damascus views as a violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, international law, and multiple United Nations resolutions.
Syria has repeatedly condemned such actions and urged the international community to take a firm stance to end what it describes as ongoing aggression.
