Islamic Art Museum to Celebrate 'Chinese Cultural Week'

Islamic Art Museum, in cooperation with the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo, will organize two photo exhibitions and Chinese Islamic monuments, in addition to arranging workshops to celebrate Chinese Cultural Week.

Elham Salah, the Museums Sector head, explained that the two exhibitions and workshops will be organized in cooperation with the Chinese Cultural Center in Egypt.

The festivities are scheduled to continue for a week starting Saturday evening; it will feature Kung-Fu (Chinese martial arts) performances, Chinese folk arts, Chinese light fair and fashion shows.

The 1st exhibition will include Chinese Islamic monuments collection. The 2nd exhibition will include Khan El-Khalili attractions photographs collection.

Dr. Mamdouh Osman the museum director general, reported that the museum will organize workshops to teach writing in Chinese script.
