int'l Conference on Tourism, Heritage, Tourism Destination Management kicks off

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities represented by the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ms. Ghada Shalaby, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Antiquities for Tourism Affairs, participated in the opening of the International Conference on Tourism, Heritage and Tourism Destination Management, which was held in a hotel in Cairo.

The conference was organized by the Sinai Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels in Ras Sedr, in cooperation with a number of European universities in Spain, the United Kingdom and Latin America, and research institutions in tourism, hospitality and heritage in the world.

The Deputy Minister stressed the importance of this conference,  pointing out that this conference was held last year in Spain.

She added that Egypt has distinguished experience in managing archaeological sites and  it has many archaeological sites registered on UNESCO's World Heritage List.

The Spanish ambassador emphasized the importance of this conference in promoting the development of tourism, pointing out to the distinguished relations between Egypt and Spain in many fields, the most important of which is tourism and culture.
