Canada’s Ambassador in Cairo, Jess Dutton, said goodbye to Egypt by posting four photos of his first visit to Egypt when he was a 24-year-old young man.
"As my family and I are getting ready to leave Cairo, I remember the first time I visited Egypt when I was 24 years old traveler many years ago," Dutton said on Twitter, on Thursday.
Canada's Ambassador added in another tweet: “Many things have changed…but the Egyptian people are still the same. They are among the most friendly and welcoming people in the world.”
“My family and I are leaving; however Egypt will remain Always in our hearts,” Dutton tweeted.
Before Cairo, he served in New Delhi as deputy head of mission.
