SEE-August21st: Huawei Egypt was caught fooling customers by using a professional camera for the company’s latest commercial for promoting its new Nova 3i smartphone's camera.
The ad shows a couple taking selfies at a party, the quality of the camera was supposed to show that women don't even need to wear any makeup because of the phone's powerful beauty AI features.
Sarah Elshamy, one of the actors in the video, posted behind-the-scenes photo on her Instagram account which caused a stir on the internet.
The photo showed the man in the photo clearly not actually holding anything in his hand, which reveals the truth of Huawei using a professional camera DSLR instead of using the Nova 3 camera.
The star deleted the controversial image later, but that didn't make people believe the lie.
Other smartphone ads were also accused of doing this as well. Samsung Brazil used 2 stock photos from Getty, a site which aggregates stock photos for companies to purchase and use on their websites.
