Hulu renewed the popular comedy TV series "How I Met Your Father" for a second season.

The new season will consist of 20 episodes.

The first season debuted on January 18 and followed Sophie (played by Hilary Duff) telling her son the story of how she met his father.

It also followed Sophie and her tight-knit group of friends navigating the messy ups and downs of dating in the modern world.

The series is based on the massively successful series "How I Met Your Mother", which was centered around Ted Mosby and his search for true love, a journey he narrated to his two teenage children.

Both series took place in the future, with Sophie's story beginning in 2022.
