Housing Initiative for Egyptians Abroad Receives $2.5 Million within 48 hours

Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing confirmed the great turnout witnessed by the "Your Home in Egypt" initiative during the first hours since its launch on Thursday.

The minister noted that the value of the amounts collected within 48 hours of opening the reservation door amounts to about $2.5 million through the available payment methods, whether electronic payment or bank transfers.

The Minister of Housing explained - during the activities of the press conference, which was held today, in the presence of Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, to launch the official website of the initiative and announce its executive steps - that despite opening the reservation door on Thursday, the rates of paying the reservation deposit recorded large numbers that reflect the confidence of Egyptians abroad in the efforts made by the state to provide them with distinctive and suitable housing in their homeland, and distinguished investment opportunities in the housing sector.

El-Sherbiny added, during his speech, that the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative comes within the framework of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to enhance the benefit of Egyptians abroad from the development advantages and investment opportunities that the country has witnessed over the past ten years.
