Higher Education Resolves Egyptian Student’s Issue in UAE

The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has resolved the issue of secondary school students in the UAE, following the article SEE published on its website.

Egyptian secondary school students residing in the UAE have appealed to concerned authorities after their certificates were rejected in private universities due to the replacement of the term biology with the term health science in their certificates.

The ministry said that it has been in contact with the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates regarding the compatibility of the scientific content of the health science curriculum taught in the UAE with the scientific content of biology taught in Egypt.

The ministry pointed out that the Egyptian secondary school students in the United Arab Emirates are to be accepted in medical colleges in Egyptian universities following a comprehensive assessment of the scientific content of their secondary school curriculum, provided that students prove that they studied biology in the ninth and eleventh grades, and health science in the twelfth grade.
