The Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University teachers and students via distance education has set a new example for arts.

The students were able to transform their favorite public figures into sculpted creations, without relying 100% on traditional education.

Second-year students at the Sculpture Department at the Faculty of Fine Arts have created an artistic vision during their portrait project of a public figure, which took place under the auspices of Dr. Majed Najm, President of Helwan University, the leadership of Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanou, Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts.

It was also carried under the supervision of Dr. Nahla Wagdy, Dr. Maryam Alkasbani, and Dr. Sally Rajeh.

The Sculpture Department students took into account the study of the human form, proportions, and similarity, as they created their project, which was carried out under the distinguished supervision of the university, especially during this distance learning period.

The students' artworks included portraits of many prominent world figures in the Arab world and the globe such as Omar Sharif, Fouad el-Mohandes, Fairuz, Leonardo DiCaprio, Will Smith, Angelina Jolie, Albert Einstein, Rihanna, Morgan Freeman, Willem Dafoe, and Benedict Cumberbatch.

It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University is one of the prestigious art colleges that have graduated elites of Egyptian artists. Its students are distinguished by their high professionalism in the work of art.
