Heatwave Continues across Egypt on Monday, Cairo 40°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts that the country will continue experiencing a rise in temperature on Monday.

Extremely hot and humid weather will prevail during the day nationwide, and the North Coast will experience hot and humid conditions.

The weather will seem hotter due to the high humidity levels, which will push up the heat index 2-4 degrees.

The country will also witness mist on agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo.

Wind will occur occasionally across the country.

There is a chance of light rainfall to prevail in the Northwest Coast, Sinai, Red Sea governorate, and South Upper Egypt.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience low to moderate waves ranging between 1 and 1.75 meters in height varying northeast and northwest surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate to turbulent ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height with northwest surface winds.

Moderately hot and humid weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early hours.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 40°C in Cairo, 33°C in Alexandria, 32°C in Marsa Matruh, 43°C in Sohag, 45°C in Qena, and 45°C in Aswan.
