Hawass: Samir Sabry "Distinguished" by Ability to Speak Creatively

Dr. Zahi Hawass an Egyptologist said that Samir Sabry is a comprehensive artist, who performed roles that only a professional artist can perform.

Hawass added; "I remember that when I participated in the International Club program, I was very scared and confused, so the program came out badly, as well as I remember that Omar Sharif was jealous of Samir Sabry's ability to speak.

This came during the signing and discussion ceremony of the book'' Tales of a Whole Life" by the artist and journalist Samir Sabry on Tuesday.

The book signing ceremony was attended by: the artist Laila Elwi, the journalist Moufid Fawzy, the artist Rania Farid Shawky, the writer Farida El Shobashi, Elham Shaheen, and the artist Amir Shaheen and his wife. In addition, the writer Zainab Afifi, critic Mahmoud Abdel Shakour, and journalist writer; Wajdi Al-Koumi, Ihab Al-Mallah, Mustafa Abdullah, and Munnat Allah Sami.

In his memoirs, Sabry reveals the secrets of the marriage of Umm Kulthum and the jealousy of Abdel Halim Hafez towards Souad Hosny.

Also, in the book, Sabry narrates a lot about the coincidences that changed his life, the secrets of his marriage, which he hid from his family, his son who left him to live in England, the stories of his love for 3 stars, and about a dilemma that made him the star media personality.

Sabry reviews the real reasons that led to the suspension of his famous program at the direct order of President Sadat and whether Fifi Abdo had anything to do with this decision or not.
