Hawass Mourns Fawzy Fahmy’s Death

Renowned Egyptian Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass mourned Dr. Fawyz Fahmy’s death, saying that Egypt’s cultural scene lost one of its figures.

He added that the late icon played a key role in developing the Academy of Arts, and he left unforgettable marks in the Ministry of Culture.

After that, Hawass reflected that Fahmy was one of his best friends, in addition, he influenced the Egyptian culture as he worked with the Former Minister of Culture Farouk Hosny for 22 years, and he arranged the activities of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.

Next, he finally asserted that Fahmy left bright marks in the scene of theater, and criticism.

Finally, he offered condolences to his family, friends, and fans, praying to God to have mercy on his soul.

It is worthy to mention that the late figure hold several positions in the Ministry of Culture as a Supreme Council of Culture members, National Center for Children’s Culture head. In addition, he translated 100 children books, and wrote several plays such as “Awdet El Ghaeb,” “Al Fares Wal Asera,” and “Lebet El Sultan.”
