The Egyptian archaeologist Dr Zahi Hawass announced that hosting the handball world cup draw underneath the pyramids is not just a great event for Egypt but for advertising the Egyptian tourism too.

Hawass added that this event is a great way to advertise the Egyptian sports and tourism, it is also a message to the whole world from underneath the immortal pyramids that Egypt is safe and that all the touristic areas are tightly secured.

Hawass pointed to the fact that the Egyptian tourism will increase significantly during this upcoming period of time especially with the increased number of tourists’ reservations for next October.

The handball world cup in its 27th version is considered the strongest championship especially after the International Handball Federation’s decision to increase the number of competing countries from 24 countries to 32 countries including 17 countries from Europe, the strongest continent in the game seeing as the golden cup never left the ancient continent since its launch six decades ago.
