Hawass Calls Dubai's 'Pharaoh' to Visit Archaeological Discoveries in Saqqara

Dr. Zahi Hawass called for the Egyptian archaeologist Sheikh Manea bin Rashid bin Maktoum, the pioneer of the first cultural renaissance in Dubai to visit his archaeological discoveries in Saqqara.

Hawass called bin Rashid "the Dubai Pharaoh'' due to his interest in culture and archaeology, and he building an obelisk- shaped hotel in Dubai, which is considered one of the most important tourist areas in Dubai.

Hawass praised these cultural and tourism achievements that Sheikh bin Rashid presented to the whole world. Hawass has been dedicating to him collection of his books on the ancient Egyptian civilization.

This came during Hawass's visit to the United Arab Emirates to deliver lectures on recent archaeological discoveries and to promote Egyptian tourism.

Noteworthy, Sheik bin Rashid was the pioneer of 1st cultural renaissance in Dubai, he received his studies at the Ahmadiyya School. Since, his early childhood he had literary tendencies and knew his love for science as well as, his reading of the Arabic magazines. In 1938, Sheik bin Rashid, established six developmental schools and the first department of knowledge in Dubai.
