CAIRO, Feb. 18 (SEE) - Iconic Egyptian Archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawas visited the archeological location at Tuna Elgabal area, south of Minia governorate, where he lectured a tourist group from the US and Switzerland,about the place where some archaeological discoveries were announced earlier this year.On his part, Mr. Qasim Hussein, governor of Minia, said that efforts are continuing to promote tourism and restore the place back on the world tourism map, but also to develop the suitable environment for visitors to enjoy the antiques-full place.Earlier this month, Minister of Antiquities Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, announced the discovery of burial rooms contain dozens mummies in the area of Tuna Elgabal. The place as well as the mummies were preserved untouched, with original decorations and colours.The discovery was made by special excavation mission of Minia University in cooperation with ministry of Antiquities, after working on an area of 400 meters were pided into squares.
