In a vibrant autumn atmosphere full of colors and creativity, the “Turathna” Exhibition kicks off from October 6 to 11 at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in the Fifth Settlement. The event brings together artisans from across Egypt’s governorates, alongside international participants from countries renowned for their craftsmanship—such as Jordan, Pakistan, Tunisia, and Algeria.
This year’s edition reaffirms Turathna’s position as the largest platform in the Middle East dedicated to supporting traditional crafts and creative industries, highlighting ongoing efforts to preserve cultural identity and promote heritage-based entrepreneurship.
Among the standout participants is Hassan Hodhod, one of Egypt’s most prominent glass art creators, whose exquisite works transform glass into shimmering paintings of light and color—an expression of deep craftsmanship and artistic imagination.
The exhibition also features a wide range of traditional Egyptian products, including handwoven silk and wool carpets, kilims, fine leather goods, and handcrafted jewelry that showcase the timeless elegance and skill of Egyptian artisans.
This year’s event also includes notable institutional participation, with the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s pavilion highlighting government initiatives to support and train artisans, and UNICEF’s pavilion shedding light on programs empowering women and youth in the handicraft sector.
“Turathna” is not just an exhibition—it is a celebration of identity, creativity, and cultural pride, where the hands that craft beauty meet the eyes that appreciate art.
