Hanan Motawie Lands Her First Lead Drama Role

Egyptian actress, Hanan Motawie is collaborating with director Moataz Hossam in a new TV series, which is set to screen in the Ramadan 2022 drama marathon.

The series is pided into two parts each consisting of 15 episodes.

The first story is titled "Wish Talat", and had recently been completed filming. It is written by Mohamed Ali Ibrahim, directed by Hosam.

The story also stars Mahmoud Abdel Moghni, Hala Fakher, Abed Anani, Nourhan, Rania Mellah, Tamer Farag, and others.

The second story is also penned by Ibrahim and directed by Ahmed Hassan. It is set to begin filming in the coming days.

Motawie participated last Ramadan with TV series “Cairo-Kabul”.

The series also starred Nabil El Halfawy, Khaled El Sawy, Fathy Abdel Wahab, Tarek Lotfy, and others.

It is written by Abdel Rahim Kamal, directed by Hossam Ali, and produced by synergy Production Company.

The series was scheduled to be screened in Ramadan 2020, but the production was suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Production was later resumed, however, the makers of the series failed to catch up with the shooting schedule due to lack of time, especially since the series contained many abroad scenes that required to be filmed.

“Cairo-Kabul” revolved around 3 stories about the terrorist acts and plots the Egypt and Arab region faces.

The series centers around 3 main characters: a journalist (Abdel Wahab), a National Security officer (El Sawy), and a terrorist (Lotfi).
