GUC honors top ranked "thanawaya amma" students

SEE - August 16th :

The German University in Cairo held a ceremony today to honor the top ranked thanawaya amma (high school) students. The event was attended by General Khaled Fouda, governor of Southern Sinai, Mr. Felipe Mobi, the Press Counsellor at the German embassy in Cairo along with a distinguished group of public figures and a senior media icons and students’ parents.

Dr. Ashraf Mansour, GUC prime founder & chairman of the board of trustees, said that the university is committed to hold this ceremony on annual basis to honor and grant scholarships for the top ranked students.

Dr. mansour stressed that GUC was ranked among the best 10% of research centers around the world after Cairo university.

He explained that the GUC was chosen because of the outstanding level of its scientific research and innovation.

Dr. Yasser Hegazy, president of GUC, said that the university plays a big role in preparing its students on scientific basis through a methodological philosophy in the education it provides.
