Griezmann Scores 300th Career Goal in MLS Debut

Antoine Griezmann enjoyed a dream Major League Soccer debut by scoring his first official goal for Orlando City in a commanding 4-0 victory over the San Jose Earthquakes on Wednesday.

The French forward wasted little time making an impact after impressing in preseason friendlies. 

Griezmann found the net in the 48th minute, weaving past three defenders before firing a low finish inside the near post to give Orlando a 3-0 lead. He celebrated with his trademark gesture as the Lions cruised to an emphatic away win.

The goal marked another milestone in Griezmann’s illustrious career, becoming the 300th club goal of his professional career. 

The 35-year-old previously established himself as Atlético Madrid’s all-time leading scorer with 212 goals and also enjoyed successful spells with Real Sociedad and Barcelona.

Orlando City’s victory was built on a complete team performance. Eduard Atuesta starred with three assists, while Iván Angulo and Braian Ojeda also played key roles as the Lions secured one of their biggest wins of the season.

The result lifted Orlando from 13th to 10th in the Eastern Conference standings, moving the club within two points of the final MLS playoff spot.

Griezmann’s impressive debut has given Orlando supporters fresh optimism as the club looks to build momentum in the second half of the season with their marquee signing leading the attack.
