HE Prof. Ahmad At-Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif & MCE Chairman, will embark on a new foreign tour, to Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, at the beginning of next month.
The tour comes in response to official invitations by the three countries to discuss ways of cooperation with Al-Azhar Ash-Sharif, strengthening its role, benefiting from its expertise, and promoting its Da’wah and educational services in the three countries.
Grand Imam At-Tayyeb is scheduled to meet religious, cultural and community officials and leaders in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. He is also keen to hold meetings with university students and young people, to discuss key recent issues on the religious and social scene. In the same vein, Grand Imam At-Tayyeb intends to meet with Imams, preachers, Muftis, Da’wah officials, and fatwa institutions
