The Yunus Emre Institute in Cairo hosted a graduation ceremony on Monday evening with the participation of Turkish Ambassador to Egypt, Salih Mutlu Şen.
36 students received their certificates. The graduates included three visually impaired graduates, who were also honored with special gifts.
The event began with a speech by the institute’s director, Satiye Karalioğlu, who expressed her delight at the growing number of Egyptians eager to study the Turkish language.
She emphasized that the institute was more than a place for language learning. She described that “We don’t only teach Turkish here. We share emotions, thoughts, joys, and sometimes even sorrows, just like a family."
She added, "None of this would be possible without the Turkish language. It is a strong bridge connecting our hearts and cultures.”
Furthermore, Ambassador Salih Mutlu Şen congratulated the graduates on completing their studies successfully.
He praised the visually impaired students, praising their determination to learn Turkish solely through listening.
As a gesture of appreciation, he announced a gift of round-trip tickets to Ankara for each of them, offering a two-day visit to the Turkish capital.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of certificates, a graduation cake, and a lively artistic performance featuring Turkish songs by the institute’s students.
