Government Prepones Salary Disbursement for April

Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait said on Monday that the dates of the current April salary disbursement will be preponed  to start from Sunday, April 19 instead of Thursday 23rd of the same month.

Maait added that the he ministries, authorities and their affiliated bodies will be pided into four days during the period from April 19-22 , provided that salaries will be available in ATMs according to the dates announced in the electronic financial system.

The Minister indicated that specific dates have been set for each ministry or authority and its affiliated entities, taking into account the number of employees and their directorates in the governorates, with preponing dates for all agencies, especially those belonging to the Ministries of Health and Interior, in appreciation of their efforts In tackling the spread of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the government decided to start disbursing the salaries of 18 ministries and bodies on April 19, 10 other ministries on April 20, 16 ministries and authorities on April 21, and finally 9 ministries on April 22.

The Ministry called on the administrative authorities to notify their employees of the specified dates, so as to contribute to reducing the contention of the ATM machines as much as possible, in a manner consistent with the efforts made by the state to reduce gatherings, take all possible precautions and strengthen ways to combat the novel virus.

This also came in light of the government's plan to ease the burdens on citizens before the holy month of Ramadan.

Maait called on all employees to keep social distancing at ATM machines, taking all precautionary measures taken to limit the spread of the deadly virus.
