Gold prices increased in local markets today, Tuesday, after the gold ounces prices rose in the global exchange, reaching $ 1761.

Concerns over a rise of inflation rates, and the US Federal Reserve's intention to lift economic stimulations were the reasons for the limited gold's gains today internationally.

Loutfi Mounib, the deputy head of the General Division of Gold and Jewelries at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, said that gold prices jumped by 0.3% in local markets, therefore, 21-karat was estimated at EGP 771.

On the other hand, 24-karat recorded EGP 881, 18-karat reached EGP 661, and the gold pound was sold at EGP 6168.
