Gold Prices Slightly Increase, 21-Karat Records EGP 1006

Gold Prices slightly increased today, Wednesday, in local markets regardless the decline of the ounces in world exchange market, recording $1830.

The Head of the Menofia Chamber of Commerce’s Gold Division Eid Youssef said that the yellow metal slightly jumped in domestic markets, and 21-karat hit EGP 1006.

He added that 24-karat was sold at EGP 1150. On the other hand, 18-karat was estimated at EGP 862. Regarding the gold pound, it recorded EGP 8048.

Finally, Youssef concluded that gold markets are anticipating the decisions of the Central Bank of Egypt regarding the interest rates which will deeply impact the yellow metal’s prices.
