Gold prices jumped today, Tuesday, in local markets after the rise of gold ounces in global exchange, recording $ 1784.
The decline of the US dollar and US treasury bonds interests assisted in increasing gold prices, regardless of the US Federal Reserve direction towards lifting economic stimulations.
Amir Rizk, Cairo Chamber of Commerce's Gold Division member, said that gold prices jumped by EGP 5 in local markets today.
He added that 21-karat reached EGP 780, while 18-karat recorded EGP 669. On the other hand, 24-karat was estimated by EGP 892. Finally, the gold pound was sold at EGP 6240.
