Gold prices decreased by 2.5% ad the price of US dollar increased after the re-nomination of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell for a second term.
Osama Al-Jalla, Secretary-General of the General Division of Gold and Jewelry in the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, said that gold prices continued to decline in local markets during today’s trading; 21-karat recorded EGP 787, while the gold ounce price decreased in the global stock exchange to record $ 1790.
He added that 24-karat recorded EGP 899, and 18 –karat is at EGP 675, while the gold pound recorded EGP 6296.
