Gold Prices Continue Declining, 21-Karat Records EGP 783

Gold Prices saw a new decline in local markets due to the fall of gold ounces prices in world exchange to record $ 1788, after the rise of the US dollar and concerns over COVID-19 emergence.

Said Saleema, a member of the General Division of Gold at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, said that gold prices dropped by EGP 2 in local markets, reaching the total drop of gold prices to EGP 8 since Tuesday.

He added that 21-karat reached EGP 783, while 24-karat was estimated at EGP 895, on the other hand, 18-karat was sold at EGP 671. Finally, the gold pound recorded EGP 6264.
