Hossam El Garhy, the deputy head of the General Authority for Supply Commodities, said that the Authority of Stamping and Scales is planning to release the seized gold to be sold in exchange markets in a few days.
The issued quantities won't exceed last year's trades.
According to Egypt's exchange data, the revenues of the first auction by the Authority of Stamping and Scales, last November, were estimated at EGP 343.8 million as 144 kilograms were sold, including 66 gold bars, and 41 silver bars.
He highlighted Egypt's exchange plans to add three new commodities, upgrading the methods of trading and the exhibited quantity of the commodities.
