Sherif Farouk, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, inaugurated the 2024 Nebio Expo for Gold and Jewellery which is the biggest annual expo for gold and jewelry in Egypt, reflecting Egypt's excellence in such industry regionally, and internationally.
announced that 50 international and domestic companies have applied to take part in the third session of the "Nebio" International Jewelry Exhibition.
The "Nebio" exhibition is taking place from December 15 to 17, and 80 participants are taking part in the event including 49 Egyptian brands, and 31 international ones, in addition to two pavilions for Turkey, and Italy.
The event will feature several activities, mainly the international buyers program that hosts 166 participants from 19 countries to enhance trade and economic exchange, in addition to a competition for jewelry design, and an exhibition about jewelry and the Egyptian identity.
The minister highlighted that the expo represents the cooperation between the government, and the private sector, reflecting Egypt's vision to be an international hub for jewelry and gold industry.
He added that it is an opportunity to enhance domestic and local industry.
He concluded that the ministry is working on supporting all exhibitors , and providing a supporting environment for them, as well as asserting the importance of such industries to fulfilling sustainable development, and export increase.
