Gold Prices Decrease, 21 Karat at EGP 2000

Gold prices decreased in the local markets during trading today, Tuesday, as an ounce declined in the global stock market, amid market anticipation for the US Federal Reserve meeting today and tomorrow, Wednesday, to determine the interest rates.

Saeed Imbaby, executive director of the “iSagha” platform said that gold prices dropped by 20 pounds in the local markets during today’s trading, as a gram of 21 carat gold recorded 2000 pounds, while an ounce recorded $1968 level.

He added that a gram of 24 karat gold recorded 2286 pounds, a gram of 18 karat gold recorded about 1717 pounds, a gram of 14 karat gold recorded about 1334 pounds, and a pound of gold recorded about 16,000 pounds.
