Gold Continues to Rise, 21-Carat Records EGP 798

On Thursday, Gold prices continued to rise in local markets as the price of gold ounce increased in the global stock exchange.

The prices were affected by U.S. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell’s statement to curb inflation and raise interest rates amid investors anticipate for U.S. inflation date that may determine the Fed's decision significantly.

Osama al-Jalla, secretary-general of gold pision at Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce, said that 21-carat recorded EGP 798, while the ounce recorded $1824.

He added that 24-carat recorded EGP 912, and 18-carat recorded EGP 684, while the gold pound recorded EGP 6384.
