The Egyptian archaeological mission working under the Palace of Tawfiq Pasha Andrew, succeeded in uncovering a number of amphoras and theaters from the Byzantine era.

Dr. Mustafa Waziri, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, pointed out that this discovery is part of a series of discoveries at the site, where a group of Roman bronze coins, part of a wall from the Roman era and an old storehouse, and a number of other archaeological icons dating back to different historical eras were discovered.

Dr. Waziri added that excavations are being completed at the site.
