Germany's Foreign Ministry expressed its high regard for the World Food Programme's significant efforts in the Middle East, particularly in the Gaza Strip.
On Wednesday, the ministry announced via Twitter (X) that Berlin has increased its support for the program by approximately €50 million.
Germany also expressed its willingness to assist in the delivery of aid through airdrops if necessary.
The statement from the foreign ministry highlighted Germany's continuous commitment to ensuring that more humanitarian aid reaches Gaza via land routes.
