The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced today, Sunday, that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 72,329 martyrs and 172,192 injured since the start of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
According to a statement reported by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), the ministry noted that over the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Gaza Strip received one new martyr, another recovered body, and eight injuries.
The ministry further indicated that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire ended last October has reached 750, with total injuries rising to 2,090, while 760 bodies have been recovered during the same period.
The statement also clarified that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue crews are currently unable to reach them.
